It's thought (via the detective work of selfless erotibibliophiles) that Autobiography was written by a London lawyer by the name of Stanislas de Rhodes way back in the 1880s.
Fun little read, I should check out the movie...
I've got the movie on my list too -- mainly because I've heard it's a great film. I knew it was based on a book, but strolling through Olympia... Well, now I've got lots more reading to do and the movie viewing is pushed further back ;)
